HR & Admin Manager

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources & Admin Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing our HR functions, ensuring that our workforce is engaged, motivated, and aligned with the company's goals. Also the position requires overseeing all aspects of company administration duties as well .This position requires a strategic thinker who can effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and implement HR best practices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices to support business objectives.
  • Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
  • Manage employee relations, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions in compliance with UK employment laws.
  • Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Ensure payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee records are accurately maintained.
  • Handle legal and compliance matters related to HR, including employment contracts, visa sponsorships, and workplace regulations.
  • Oversee general office administration, facilities management, and procurement of office supplies.
  • Support senior management in strategic decision-making and workforce planning.
  • Maintain a positive work environment that promotes company values, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Manage external relationships with recruitment agencies, legal advisors, and other HR service providers.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in HR and administration
  • knowledge of UK employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in working with multicultural teams and an understanding of the Sri Lankan business environment is a plus.

Job Summary
Seth Sri shipping is a fast-growing logistics company specializing in the import and export of goods between the UK and Sri Lanka. As we expand our operations, we seek a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee logistics operations across both regions. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless coordination, efficiency, and compliance within our supply chain and transportation processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end logistics operations in both the UK and Sri Lanka.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing, and distribution processes.
  • Coordinate with shipping lines, freight carriers, and customs authorities for smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs laws in both countries.
  • Monitor and improve supply chain performance through KPIs and operational metrics.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Lead and train operational teams to maintain high service standards and productivity.
  • Identify operational risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Optimize resource allocation and manage budgets effectively.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, government agencies, and industry partners.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, project Management or a related field.
  • Freight forwarding, supply chain management or project Management.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping, customs regulations, and trade compliance in both the UK and Sri Lanka.
  • Proven experience in managing cross-border logistics and multimodal transportation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel between the UK and Sri Lanka as required.
